M is for Musketeers!

Fight! Fight! Musketeers!
Peel off the crooks' ears!
Fight with your swords!
Give to the poor!

Brave Musketeers!

- My daughter, age 7

Yes, I posted this already a couple of months ago, but if a proud dad can't show off his daughter's poetry on his blog, then what's the intreweb for?

  1. Of course you can reuse your children's creations. I still do it and my kids are grown--like way grown. Like they've passed me in age.

  2. Well... I didn't see it months ago! It's great, and I'm glad you reposted it. I got here from the A-Z blog list, and had to visit because of the name of your blog. My family loves the Pirates of the Carribbean movies, and my kids always get giggling over "really bad eggs." We have no idea what it mean though! Perhaps you can tell me?

    1. Bad egg: "a person who is bad, dishonest, or unreliable; a good-for-nothing."

The line from the Pirates song is, "We're rascals, scoundrels, villians, and knaves,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We're devils and black sheep, really bad eggs,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho."

      So there you go! :^)
